If you’ve ever driven past a framing crew on a hot Texas afternoon or watched someone pour concrete at sunrise, you know something most people overlook:
Tradespeople keep the world turning.
For years, I’ve worked in and around construction — from commercial sites to residential builds, from boots in the dirt to partnering with a custom apparel business that outfits crews across the state. And one thing I’ve learned is this:
We don’t have a talent problem in this country.
We have an access problem.
Young people are ready. They’re capable. They’re hungry for purpose. But somewhere along the way, the message shifted. We stopped telling kids that the trades are a viable, respected, and meaningful path forward. That working with your hands is a skill, not a fallback. That you can build a life by building things.
💡 Where Texas Construction School Comes In
This school was born out of that realization.
We aren’t some big institution with a massive budget and shiny brochures. We’re builders — literally and figuratively — and we’re tired of watching an entire generation get overlooked.
So we decided to do something about it.
Texas Construction School exists to give youth and underserved communities a chance to learn the trades in a real, honest, hands-on way. Through one-day workshops, school partnerships, and community-based events, we’re creating a lane where there wasn’t one before.
And here’s the most important part:
It’s all free.
We’re self-funded, community-backed, and powered by a mission that’s bigger than any of us individually.
🔨 Why This Matters Now More Than Ever
According to recent stats, over half a million construction jobs will be unfilled by 2026. At the same time, high schools are cutting vocational programs, and many students leave school with debt and zero real-world skills.
That disconnect isn’t just unfortunate — it’s dangerous. It threatens the future of our workforce, our infrastructure, and our communities.
What we’re doing at Texas Construction School is simple:
We’re training young people.
We’re inspiring self-confidence.
We’re building the future — one workshop at a time.
🚧 This Is Just the Beginning
We haven’t launched our first class yet — but the movement has already started. The momentum is building fast. We’ve got educators reaching out. Families asking how to get involved. Local pros offering tools, time, and mentorship.
That’s how you know this is needed.
If you believe in what we’re doing — or know someone who needs to hear this — we invite you to be a part of it. Whether you’re an employer, a teacher, a tradesperson, or a parent who just wants their kid to have options, there’s a place for you in this mission.
💬 From the Founder
I don’t have all the answers. But I know this:
When you give someone the tools — both literally and mentally — to build something, you change the way they see themselves. That’s what this school is about.
Thanks for believing in it.
Thanks for backing it.
Now let’s build something that lasts.
