Our History

Where Legacy Meets Purpose

Founded by Jesse Peña Sr. and his son Jesse Peña Jr., Texas Construction LLC began as a small family-run business driven by hard work, integrity, and a commitment to quality. While Jesse Jr. was serving in the U.S. Marine Corps, his father led operations and helped establish the company’s reputation across Texas.

Upon returning from military service, Jesse Jr. joined his father full-time. Together, they grew the company, taking on projects across the U.S. and earning recognition from general contractors and clients nationwide. Their strong values and craftsmanship became the foundation for every job they completed.

After the sudden and tragic passing of Jesse Sr., the company faced a moment of uncertainty. Jesse Jr. made the decision to scale back and rebuild from the ground up. With his sister Erica stepping in to support the administrative side and brother Joe shifting careers to join the team, Texas Construction reemerged as a united family business with renewed purpose.

Inspired by the growing shortage of qualified tradespeople, the Peña family launched Texas Construction School to help bridge the labor gap. An 8,000 sq ft facility was secured in late 2023 to serve as the future headquarters of the school, and operational development began on courses, workshops, and outreach.

In 2024, the school officially became a registered nonprofit. That same year, it partnered with Texas Custom Print to launch a branded apparel line that helps raise funds and awareness.

In 2025, the school has assembled the board of directors, defined its curriculum and is preparing to host its first free workshop — the first of many steps toward training the next generation of tradesmen.

WHAT MAKES TEXAS
CONSTRUCTION SCHOOL DIFFERENT

We’ve learned that great construction doesn’t start with tools — it starts with trust. Our hands-on programs are built with industry input, led by real trade professionals, and designed to make an impact. We keep things simple, focused, and real — because we know not everyone can take weeks off work or school to learn new skills. At Texas Construction School, we bring the trades to the people, and the people to the trades.

"This school isn’t just about construction. It’s about giving people a chance to believe in themselves and build something they never thought possible."
